Olivia George Bridal in Hampshire is more than a wedding dress shop.
It’s a place where every bride feels celebrated.
Olivia George Bridal opened its doors in 2018, with one aim: to make finding your wedding dress feel special, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.
With years of experience in bridalwear, fittings and alterations, we know that the right dress isn’t just about how it looks on a hanger. It’s about how it fits, how it feels and, most importantly, how you feel wearing it.
Based in our countryside barn near Alresford and Winchester in Hampshire, we offer relaxed, private bridal appointments, a carefully chosen size-inclusive collection of beautiful and affordable wedding dresses, bridalwear and expert in-house alterations – all under one roof.
No judgement, no hard sell and definitely no rules about what you “should” wear. Just really beautiful dresses, honest advice and plenty of time to find the one that feels like you.
Carolyn’s Story
The idea for Olivia George Bridal started in 2017, although not quite with the grand lifelong plan you might expect.
Carolyn had always been creative and loved sewing, but life initially took her in a completely different direction — raising a family alongside a corporate career. Eventually, the pull towards doing something more creative (and a little more ‘her’) won out — and in 2018, Olivia George opened its doors.
Since then, the boutique has evolved enormously. Bridal alterations became a huge part of what we do, a brilliant team has grown around the business, and we’ve learnt a lot about what really matters when someone is choosing their wedding dress.
Today, Olivia George is less about following bridal traditions and more about creating the kind of experience we think finding your dress should be: relaxed, honest, inclusive and genuinely good fun.
And we’d love to welcome you to our little corner of the Hampshire countryside.

Couture Alterations & Expertise
Having our alterations studio in-house means we understand wedding dresses from the inside out – quite literally.
From getting the fit just right to adding sleeves, straps, bespoke details or completely reworking part of a dress, our alterations team can help make your dress work for you and your body.
Whether it needs a few simple tweaks or something a little more creative, everything is done right here in our studio, with honest advice, attention to detail and a lot of experience behind the sewing machine. Brides regularly travel from across Hampshire and much further afield for their alterations with us – something we’re incredibly proud of.

What’s in the name?
The name Olivia George has been part of the story from the very beginning.
The boutique is named after two of Carolyn’s daughters, Olivia and Georgia (George!) – both of whom have been part of Olivia George over the years and still regularly pop up on our social media, whether they planned to or not!
Having their names above the door has always made the business feel that little bit more personal – a small piece of our family woven into Olivia George from day one.
